The microwave has reached must-have status as 72% of consumers cannot live without it, according to a recent survey commissioned by Whirlpool. The survey of 1,860 Europeans, which coincided with the company’s launch of its Jet Cuisine microwave, also revealed those from the UK (22%) are more likely to use their microwave to cook entire recipes. The freestanding combination Jet Cuisine microwave has a power output of 1000W and a choice of seven levels, with 10 automatic programme settings. The appliance can microwave, steam and grill food for an array of cooking styles. It has a Crisp function, which uses a special plate to crisp and brown and a steam setting using a steamer dish. In addition, the microwave also has a Defrost function.

Jet Cuisine uses a forced air convection system, which the company claims to distribute a powerful airflow for even cooking, using less time and energy. It even boasts Whirlpool’s 6th Sense technology to detect the food weight and automatically set the time and cooking parameters within its Defrost, Crisp and Steam functions.
